153rd Anniversary Concert of the St. Augustine Chorale
Join us for an afternoon of sacred music as the Saint Augustine Chorale celebrates 153 years of music ministry at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Under the direction of Mr. Samuel E. Cromwell, the Chorale will present Crown Him with Many Crowns, a special anniversary concert reflecting the beauty, majesty, and hope of our faith. The Chorale has long been an integral part of the worship life of St. Augustine, enriching our liturgies through classical, traditional, and Catholic choral music.

Our MissionThe St. Augustine Chorale shall continue its ministry to the worshipping community of St. Augustine Catholic Church. We shall continue the Catholic tradition, drawing on ethnicity and old and new styles of music, while maintaining the traditional musical focus of the Chorale in singing hymns, spirituals, sacred, and classical music that helps worshippers pray and sing. As Chorale members we support one another through Christian love, respect, and hospitality, and strive to continue our Christian commitment to the worshipping community in everything we do.

Join the Chorale!Anyone is welcomed to join our Chorale family. We are actively recruiting new members in all four voices.
Each member is expected to attend all scheduled, two-hour rehearsals on time and to sing each Sunday at 10:00 p.m. Mass and on feast days.
The Chorale rehearses on Thursday from 7:00–9:00 p.m. in the Church, and on Sunday at 9:15 a.m. in the Chapel (1419 V Street NW, Washington, DC 20009) from August through June. We are on vacation for the entire month of July.
