The Liturgical Dance Ministry seeks to proclaim the word of God to His servants, followers, and non-believers through the biblical medium of dance and bring His living word to life through humbleness and excellence in ministry presentation. We seek to set an atmosphere that welcomes God's people into His holy presence.

We are women and men age 18 and older who have a passion to worship God through non-verbal expression.

Using various modes of dance, including ballet, modern, and African, we minister to music sung by the Music Ministry and to pre-recorded gospel music. We attend dance classes, workshops, and conferences to prepare spirit and body to minister before God with excellence.

We have ministered at many churches and organizations throughout Washington, DC and outside the metropolitan area. The ministry is fully committed to praising God and seeks to serve Him with integrity in the ministry of movement.

Our season of ministry includes: Advent, Christmas, Lent, Palm Sunday, Holy Week, Easter Vigil, Easter Sunday, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, the feasts of St. Augustine, St. Monica and Christ the King.

We welcome women and men age 18 and older who have a passion to worship God through non-verbal expression. Dance skills are desired but not required. We pray that prospective dance ministers have a personal, committed relationship with God, display an attitude of humility and have a teachable spirit.

The Dance Ministry rehearses on Monday and Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Church.
