The St. Augustine Young Adult Association invites young adults to step away from the noise & busyness of daily life for a three-day Summer Overnight Retreat. Join us as we strengthening our prayer life, our place in Christ’s Community, and opening our hearts to hear God’s voice. This overnight retreat is an invitation to slow down, listen, reconnect with Christ, and one another.
The retreat will take place Friday, July 17th 6:30 p.m. to Sunday, July 19th 10:30 a.m. at the Msgr. O'Dwyer Retreat Center in Baltimore County, MD. Our spiritual journey will be facilitated by Pastor Fr. Patrick Smith.
Consider making a donation to the Young Adult Association Retreat Fund. Your generosity helps cover retreat expenses and provides scholarship assistance, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent young adults from encountering Christ and building community with their peers. DONATE NOW
The St. Augustine Young Adult Association, known as SAYAA, aims to connect the young adults of our parish, build community and help each other grow spiritually.
Based on the Church’s mission of discipleship and evangelization, we periodically have in-person events throughout the year, such as Dinner & Dialogue and Coffee & Community, where we come together over a meal and share our personal testimonies, struggles, gaps in our faith, wins in our faith, and how the Bible, Mass readings and the Gospel apply to our lived experiences. Learn more about Dinner & Dialogue!
Members of SAYYA, typically 20 somethings through 40 somethings, are eager to welcome college and graduate students, those who may be in the DMV temporarily, or those who generally want to meet other young adults at St. Augustine. Our ministry provides a safe space centered on authentic fellowship, allowing young adults to connect with peers who share similar values and life experiences and fosters lasting friendships within the parish.
